Thursday night premier league darts actually went ahead on Thursday even with the "Grinding" scandal been ever-present.
It was a week of the young guns with "The destroyer" up against "Lethal Weapon". With Jon still waiting to stick a win to his 2011 season c.v. It was always going to be an uphill struggle, although undefeated all season Belly had a 100% record to uphold, and he did, but not all as one-sided as people might of thought.
Belly drew first blood 1-0, then 2-0 and with the crowd thinking that it was going to be a third 4-0 sweep in as many weeks Jon fought back with a leg to forget. Belly took the next set to make it 3-1 and with Jon "shaking like a peado in a playground" he took the next leg to make it 3-2. Was this going to be the night of the under dog? yes but not in this match as Jon lost the last leg to lose the match 4-2 and give belly his 100% record intact.
Next up "Rock n' Roll" Vs "The Spears". A game of the top 2 positions in the league, a win to either would give him top spot and a draw would leave the table unaffected. Brett on course for his second M.I.L.F. award in successive years, had set the season alight with the rest of the players left quaking in their boots at the prospect of meeting him in the league. Rookie didn't show this emotion and took the first leg with a quality 19 arrow finish. With Brett a bit off par could Rookie take advantage and not crumble like he did last week against Shmo-key. At 2-0 up we thought not until Brett turned the match on it's head with 2 successive games in the bag making it 2-2. Both players took a remaining leg each to make it a well deserved 3-3 and keep both players on course for a season undefeated.
Third match of the night saw the fierce rivalry of "Scared a' You" vs "The Hammer". With both players still looking for a win it was going to be a game of pride. Mart went 1-0 up with Jase applauding Marts 16 darter. But Jase countered back straight away with a 97 checkout to put Mart under the cosh. Jase then took the third to go 2-1 up and make Mart start thinking questions about himself. Next leg went to Mart with a sublime double, making it 2-2. But with Mart feeling the fatigueness from the big fat cig he had shared with others it was only going to be a matter of time before he crumbled and what timing it was, with Jase taking the last 2 legs to make it 4-2 and record his first win of the season and leave Mart in a state of confusion.
Last Match was the debutant Mickey"The Brickie" against "The Bachelor". With no one sure of Mickeys game , this was a game that no one could have predicted. Taking time out from his BBC2 series "wonder of the solar system" Mickey addressed the oche with a heckler shouting "he's a kack hander". The host was worried about a left handed gimp hitting his fridge, but his fears were soon put to rest when Mickey fired a solid 60 with his first 3 arrows. The local MILF basher and self proclaimed bachelor was looking for his first win of the season after getting beat in his first match. This game didn't dissappoint, well thats what im led to believe with both players taking equal share of the points in a 3-3 draw helping both player scratch their first points on the league.
